Here at AxCalibur Industries we provide a one stop custom shop for the discriminating guitarist. Specializing in custom designed and built solid and semi solid body guitars, as well as repairs, upgrades, and customizing of higher line electric guitars and basses. Whether you are looking for a fret replacement, changing fretboard radius, adding or upgrading your electronics packages, restoring a well used and much loved instrument, repairs, set ups, or modifications to help you play better, we are here to serve you.
Face it, all of us serious guitar and bass players have what we consider our dream instrument. For some it's a customized Strat, for others it's a Les Paul supreme, and for others, it's a one off custom built to their specs. AxCalbur Guitars & Basses
Our guitars & basses are only made from the finest quality tone and exotic woods. Where most luthiers leave off, and most of your large scale manufacturers do as well, that's where we step in. I don't believe in anything less than a AAA rated wood. Try to get that over the counter at your local guitar shop! Most tops as well as necks and fretboards are done here in AAAAA woods. I never use Plywood, Basswood, Agathis, or Poplar. I only use the high density hard tone woods such as Maple, Ash, Mahogany, Koa, and so on. Additionally, I will use exotic woods for not only their different tones, but their beauty and appearance as well.
Woods like Zebrawood, Bocote, Cocobolo, Rosewood, Ebony, and Wenge, just to name a few.
As for hardware and electronics, only the best quality products such as EMG, Gibson, Fender, Di Marzio, Seymour Duncan, Grover, Planet Waves, Schaller and the like are used. I refuse to scrimp on any part at any time. No low quality asian import parts will ever be used on a single AxCalibur Industries instrument!!! PERIOD!!!
Quality of this level is not cheap, but in the long run, it is more than worth the cost.
Future products
In addition to our current line of instruments, we will soon be adding our own line of vintage tube type class A/B guitar amps in 30, 50, and 100 watt configurations, as well as a line of custom effects pedal boards with industry first innovations that no other manufacturer has dared to dream up or develop.
Also in development is a new innovative tremolo system for both flat top (Strat, SG, Explorer, etc., styles) guitars as well as arch or contoured top (Les Paul, PRS, etc., styles) guitars.
Finally, we have in development a new passive pickup system that promises to be a top performer.

Fender New American Tremolo bridge with GraphTech String Saver string saddles.
Maple neck with Pao Ferro fretboard, Ebony binding, 6105 fretwire, 10" to 16" compound radius, dual action truss rod, graphite nut and cream dots.
Angled headstock with 13 degrees of tilt and Planet Waves 18:1 auto trim locking tuners.
Copper shielding in tremolo cavity.
Contoured heel & neck joint for easier access to upper register frets.

Rene' Best on the AxCalibur AX-1
Hi, I'm Rene' Best. I have been playing electric guitar for over 40 years now with the likes of Bob Seger, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, The Drifters, and a multitude of major names in the music industry, both live and in the studio.
I plugged the AxCalibur Industries AX-1 for the first time into a basic clean channel amp(solid state) and IMMEDIATELY nailed the Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) and Stevie Ray Vaughan clean sounds.
I then took the AX-1 into the studio, where I plugged into a Line 6 POD unit and had the sweetest, baddest, ballsiest, and most controlled sound I have EVER encountered without an amplifier in the chain.
The neck design has no "dead spots", so one can shift positions on the fly and turn around on a dime, Balls to the Wall!!! The innovations in this guitar are unparalleled in the industry. From the meticulous copper shielding in the control, pickup, and tremolo cavities, to the iner tone chambers, to the choice of woods and finish. All things point to the superior craftsmanship of Mr. Courser.
The innovations of the future should put Mr. Tom Courser in the Hall of Fame ranks of Leo Fender and Les Paul in my humble opinion. Hats off to you Mr. TC, and the sky's the limit!!!
